Regular Season Round 12: Geraldton B. - Perry Lakes H. 88-79

Date: May 18, 2019
There was no surprise in Wonthella where 7th ranked Hawks (7-6) were defeated by fifth ranked Buccaneers (8-3) 88-79 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Colter Lasher (201-94, college: Houston Baptist) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import power forward Liam Hunt (201-95, college: Hope International) who added 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Buccaneers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Shawn Redhage (203-81, college: ASU) with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international swingman Clint Steindl (200-89, college: St.Mary's, CA) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Hawks' coach let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Buccaneers moved-up to fourth place in League. Loser Hawks keep the seventh position with six games lost. Buccaneers will face Eagles (#10) in Morley in the next round where they are favorite. Hawks will play at home against Cougars and hope to win that game.
