LBF top team - Campinas (11-0) had no problems winning another game on Monday. This time they crushed eighth ranked SBC/Brazolin/UNIP (3-7) in Sao Bernardo 89-65. Campinas dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to SBC/Brazolin/UNIP's 36. They outrebounded SBC/Brazolin/UNIP 37-25 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Campinas looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by SBC/Brazolin/UNIP's players. It was a great evening for the former international swingman Patty Ribeiro (175-90) who led her team to a victory scoring 31 points. Swingman Ariadna Felipe (184-83) helped adding 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Campinas' coach Carlos Vendramini felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Larissa Carneiro (164-97) with 17 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and center Dominick Rocha (185-89) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four SBC/Brazolin/UNIP players scored in double figures. Campinas have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-0 record. SBC/Brazolin/UNIP lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with seven games lost. Campinas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. SBC/Brazolin/UNIP will play at home against Blumenau (#5) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
