Brose Baskets held off Vechta to draw things even at 1-1. Brose Baskets outrebounded SC Rasta Vechta 39-27 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American Augustine Rubit (200-89, college: S.Alabama) had a double-double by scoring 31 points and 14 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American-Montenegrin point guard Tyrese Rice (185-87, college: Boston Coll.) chipped in 26 points and 10 assists during the contest. Brose Baskets' coach Federico Perego used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American guard TJ Bray (196-92, college: Princeton) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 assists and his fellow American import guard Joshua Young (185-88, college: Drake) scored 28 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
