Regular Season Round 3: Niagara RL - Saskatchewan R. 108-91

The biggest surprise of round 3 in CEBL took place in Niagara where host Niagara RL (3-1) beat Saskatchewan R. (3-2) 108-91 on Friday evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Niagara RL made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American guard Dorian Pinson (196, college: Lincoln Memorial) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Guillaume Boucard (198, college: Carleton) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Niagara RL's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Bruce Massey (190, college: MTSU) who recorded 21 points and 8 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and the other American import forward Tavrion Dawson (188, college: CS Northridge) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Saskatchewan R. will play next round against Edmonton S. trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Niagara RL will try to continue on its current victory against Guelph N. at home.
