Regular Season Round 13: Joondalup W. - Geraldton B. 87-84

A very close game took place in Joondalup between Wanneroo and Buccaneers. First ranked Wanneroo (12-3) got a very close home victory over 5th ranked Buccaneers (9-4). Wanneroo managed to escape with a 3-point win 87-84 on Saturday evening. Wanneroo looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (198-91, college: Missouri, agency: Haylett Sports) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and American swingman Ridell Camidge (192-96, college: Oklahoma City) chipped in 30 points. Wanneroo's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side American power forward Liam Hunt (201-95, college: Hope International) responded with 25 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) and the other American import forward Colter Lasher (201-94, college: Houston Baptist) scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. Four Buccaneers players scored in double figures. Wanneroo maintains first place in League with 12-3 record. Loser Buccaneers dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Wanneroo will meet at home Slammers (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Buccaneers will play against Cougars (#13) in Hamilton Hill and hope to secure a win.
