Everything went according to plan in Bunbury where ninth ranked Suns (7-8) won against bottom-ranked Slammers (0-13) 84-66 on Saturday. Suns forced 19 Slammers turnovers. American swingman Joshua Braun (193-94, college: GCU) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Power forward Louis Timms (206-91, college: Wayland Baptist) chipped in 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Suns players scored in double figures. Suns' coach used entire bench saving starting five for next games. American center Terrell Carter II (208, college: Fresno St., agency: Haylett Sports) produced 27 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import swingman Tyler Livingston (198-94, college: UMass Lowell) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Suns maintains ninth place in League with 7-8 record. Loser Slammers still closes the standings with 13 games lost. Suns will face higher ranked Hawks (#7) in Floreat in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Slammers will play on the road against the league's leader Wanneroo (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
