NBL top team - City Oilers (7-3) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Our Saviour (0-9) in Kampala 80-52. City Oilers dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Our Saviour's 26. They outrebounded Our Saviour 61-34 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. City Oilers looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Our Saviour's players. The winners were led by the former international James Okello (194-90) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and Nigerian power forward Chijioke Azolibe supported him with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Even 12 points and 7 rebounds by forward Elton Bakara (-96) did not help to save the game for Our Saviour. Forward Wilberforce Pirwoth (-95) added 11 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Four Our Saviour players scored in double figures. City Oilers have an impressive five-game winning streak. Despite that victory City Oilers went down to second position due to points difference. Loser Our Saviour still closes the standings with nine games lost. City Oilers' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena KCCA Lions.
