Regular Season Round 8: JKL Dolphins - UCU Canons 58-71

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kampala: UCU Canons (#3) and JKL Dolphins (#5). JKL Dolphins were defeated at home 58-71 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. UCU Canons forced 22 JKL Dolphins turnovers. Forward David Kongor orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points and 6 rebounds. Sudanese center Lual Titus (-98) contributed with 8 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Center Daniel Monoja (197-93) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and Rwandan point guard Yesman Bushiri (-85) added 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for JKL Dolphins. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UCU Canons have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. JKL Dolphins at the other side dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with KIU Titans and Ndejje Angels. UCU Canons are looking forward to face Sharing Youth (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. JKL Dolphins will have a break next round.
