There was no surprise when 11th ranked Eagles (5-11) were outleveled by second ranked Senators (12-3) in Morley 106-86 on Friday. Senators outrebounded Eagles 49-31 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Caleb Davis (206-95, college: Saginaw Valley) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized Sudanese forward Ngor Manyang (200-93) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Senators players scored in double figures. Swingman Jordan Wellsteed (194-95) replied with 23 points and swingman Drew Williamson (196-83, college: MSU Denver) added 18 points in the effort for Eagles. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Senators maintains second position in League with 12-3 record having just ten point less than leader Mackay M. Loser Eagles keep the eleventh place with 11 games lost. Senators will face Buccaneers (#3) in Wonthella in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Eagles will play on the road against Redbacks (#8) in Northbridge and hope to win that game.
