Regular Season Round 9: UCU Canons - Sharing Youth 58-56

Ninth-ranked Sharing Youth (2-7) gave a tough game to first ranked UCU Canons (8-1) in Kampala on Saturday. UCU Canons managed to secure only two-point victory 58-56. However their fans expected much easier game. Sudanese forward Wian Ater (-95) stepped up and scored 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Tanzanian forward Fadhili Chuma (-95) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Caesar Kizito (-88) with 28 points and 6 rebounds and forward Emmanuel Okumu (-97) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. UCU Canons have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-1 record, which they share with Warriors. Sharing Youth lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with seven games lost. UCU Canons' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala Kampala.
