Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked North Adelaide Rockets (10-5) defeated 10th ranked Sturt Sabres (2-11) in Greenacres 102-87 on Saturday. North Adelaide Rockets outrebounded Sturt Sabres 41-29 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a great shooting night for North Adelaide Rockets especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. The former international forward Jack McVeigh (203-96, college: Nebraska) orchestrated the victory by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. American forward Alexander Starling (198-89, college: Beth.-Cookman) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Nikolas Desantis replied with 16 points and Rivers Carleton added 7 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Sturt Sabres. Four Sturt Sabres players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. North Adelaide Rockets moved-up to third place in League. Loser Sturt Sabres dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
