There was an upset when top-ranked Crusaders (11-3) lost to fifth ranked Sydney City Comets (9-4) in Terrigal 79-89 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sydney City Comets made 22 blocks. Crusaders were plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. Naturalized American guard Indiana Faithfull (193-91, college: West Liberty) orchestrated the victory by scoring 31 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks. Naturalized British V.Islands guard William McFee (191, college: UNB) contributed with 21 points for the winners. American forward Mitchell Rueter (198, college: Cent Arkansas) replied with 27 points and 5 blocks and guard Oliver Robilliard (188) added 14 points in the effort for Crusaders. Crusaders' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sydney City Comets moved-up to fourth place in League. Loser Crusaders still keep top position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
