ALBA Berlin started the semifinal series with a road win ower EWE Baskets. 31 personal fouls committed by EWE Baskets helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American point guard Peyton Siva (183-90, college: Louisville) fired 26 points and 4 assists for the winners. His fellow American import forward Luke Sikma (202-89, college: Portland) chipped in 8 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. ALBA Berlin's coach Garcia Aito Reneses used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Austrian-Slovenian center Rasid Mahalbasic (210-90, agency: BeoBasket) produced 21 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Will Cummings (188-92, college: Temple) added 21 points and 4 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
