Regular Season Round 10: KIU Titans - KCCA Lions 57-55

Eighth-ranked KCCA Lions (3-8) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked KIU Titans (8-3) in Kampala on Sunday. KIU Titans managed to secure only two-point victory 57-55. However their fans expected much easier game. KIU Titans forced 19 KCCA Lions turnovers. DR Congolese guard Micheal Bwanga fired 17 points and 5 assists for the winners. DR Congolese forward Denis Balungu (-95) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Francis Mbuyi produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Andrew Gang (-96) added 11 points respectively for lost side. KCCA Lions' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. KIU Titans moved-up to third place, which they share with City Oilers. KCCA Lions lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. KIU Titans will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. KCCA Lions' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala Our Saviour.
