Regular Season Round 8: Angels - UMU Ravens 55-46

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Angels and 8th ranked UMU Ravens had identical 2-6 record. This time Angels used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Kampala 55-46. Angels held UMU Ravens to an opponent 21.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 35.4 percent accuracy of the winners. Angels forced 22 UMU Ravens turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Patricia Cate (-94) who helped to win the game recording 11 points and 5 rebounds and Alado Patricia who added 8 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Center Vicky Akello (170-96) responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds and forward Anitah Wataka scored 7 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Angels maintains seventh position with 3-6 record. UMU Ravens at the other side keep the eighth place with seven games lost. They share the position with YMCA Hamstars. Angels will play against higher ranked Nkumba LM (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. UMU Ravens' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena A1 Challenge.
