Top ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (22-9) recorded its ninth loss on the court of fifth ranked Pioneros Los Mochis on Wednesday night. Visitors were edged by Pioneros Los Mochis 87-86. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rayos de Hermosillo. Pioneros Los Mochis made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Swingman Manuel Hernandez (193-91) fired 19 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. American guard Anthony Glover-Jr (185-96, college: Indiana, PA) chipped in 23 points and 5 rebounds. Glover Jr. is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Pioneros Los Mochis' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Jeremy Hollowell (203-94, college: Georgia St.) produced 21 points and his fellow American import guard Craig Sword (190-94, college: Mississippi St.) added 21 points and 4 steals respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Despite that victory Pioneros Los Mochis went down to sixth position due to points difference, which they share with Culiacan. Rayos de Hermosillo at the other side still keeps top place with nine games lost. Pioneros Los Mochis is looking forward to face league's second-placed Halcones de Ciudad Obregon at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rayos de Hermosillo will play against Caballeros de Culiacan and is hoping to win this game.
