Regular Season Round 15: Perth R. - East Perth E. 108-98

Date: June 7, 2019
No shocking result in a game in Northbridge where eighth ranked Redbacks (8-9) won against 11th ranked Eagles (5-12) 108-98 on Friday. They outrebounded Eagles 48-29 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Redbacks looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for guard Marshall Nelson (188-94, college: Wayland Baptist) who led his team to a victory scoring 42 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 6 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Power forward Isaac Gattorna-Hargrave (203-99) helped adding 24 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Cameron Williams (185-95, college: MSU Denver) with 20 points and 7 assists and swingman Drew Williamson (196-83, college: MSU Denver) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Redbacks and five Eagles players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Redbacks maintains eighth place in League with 8-9 record. Loser Eagles keep the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Redbacks will face Cougars (#13) in Hamilton Hill in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Eagles will play on the road against the league's second-placed Buccaneers where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
