Regular Season Round 15: Lakeside L. - Perry Lakes H. 92-96

There was a minor upset in North Lake where 4th placed Lightning (12-5) was defeated by sixth ranked Hawks (11-6) 96-92 on Friday. Strangely Lightning outrebounded Hawks 47-27 including a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for the former international forward Shawn Redhage (203-81, college: ASU) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward Ben Purser (200-90, college: Augusta) helped adding 20 points and 5 assists. Hawks' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American forward Joseph Wall (198-89, college: Seattle Pacific) with 28 points and 6 rebounds and center Jarrad Prue (198-82) scored 6 points and 22 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hawks maintains sixth place in League with 11-6 record. Loser Lightning keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Hawks will face Giants (#7) in Kalgoorlie in the next round. Lightning will play at home against Cougars and hope to win that game.
