Everything went according to plan when third ranked Townsville Heat (6-2) beat on the road 15th ranked Gladstone Port City Power (1-8) 92-82 on Saturday. It was a great evening for the former international point guard Joshua Wilcher (178-91, college: Cent.Wyoming) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Jonathon Mines (193-91, college: N.Mexico Highlands) helped adding 24 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Aleer Aleer with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 18 rebounds and 4 blocks and guard Kyle Tipene (185, college: Martin Methodist) scored 23 points. Four Gladstone Port City Power players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Townsville Heat went down to fourth position (League) due to points difference. Loser Gladstone Port City Power keeps the fifteenth place with eight games lost. Townsville Heat will face Toowoomba Mountaineers (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gladstone Port City Power will play against the league's leader Mackay Meteors and hope to win that game.
