Regular Season Round 15: Mackay M. - NGC Seahawks 113-89

State League top team - Mackay Meteors (9-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Seahawks (2-7) 113-89. Mackay Meteors made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Mackay Meteors outrebounded Seahawks 50-37 including 36 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. It was a good game for American forward Bryce Washington (198-96, college: La-Lafayette) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Chris Cedar (188-88) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Five Mackay Meteors players scored in double figures. American swingman Quinton Campbell (197-93, college: S.Mississippi) answered with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and center Brent Wallace (213-92) added 8 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Seahawks. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mackay Meteors maintains first place in League with 9-1 record. Seahawks at the other side keep the thirteenth position with seven games lost. Mackay Meteors' next round opponent will be Gladstone Port City Power (#15) on the road which should be another easy win for them. Seahawks will play against Phoenix in Cotton Tree and hope to win that game.
