Regular Season Round 16: Werribee D. - Blackburn V. 81-114

There was a minor upset in Werribee where 6th ranked Devils (5-11) were rolled over by eighth ranked Vikings (3-13) 114-81 on Saturday. Vikings shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 52.9 percentage. Guard Jake Heath (185, college: S.Dakota Mines) fired 33 points (!!!) and 7 assists for the winners. Canadian guard Ryan Bennett (193, college: Brock) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. Four Vikings players scored in double figures. American forward Konor Kulas (201-94, college: S.Dakota Mines) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Mark Berezdecky (198-93) added 22 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Devils' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Vikings maintains eighth position in League with 3-13 record. Loser Devils dropped to the seventh place with 11 games lost. Vikings' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Melbourne to the arena Gulls.
