Very predictable result when fifth ranked Kilsyth Cobras (8-5) beat at home 16th ranked Knox Raiders (5-8) 90-77 on Saturday. Kilsyth Cobras made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game, while Knox Raiders only scored three points from the stripe. Strangely Knox Raiders outrebounded Kilsyth Cobras 42-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American Isaac Turner (191-92, college: St.Vincent) fired 24 points for the winners. Guard Peter Hooley (193-92, college: Albany) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. American forward Cadarian Raines (206-90, college: Virginia Tech) produced 19 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Mike Rose (193-87, college: EKU) added 9 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kilsyth Cobras moved-up to fourth place in League. Loser Knox Raiders dropped to the fourteenth position with eight games lost. Kilsyth Cobras will face league's second-placed Spectres in East Burwood in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Knox Raiders will play on the road against NW Tasmania Thunder (#11) in Ulverstone and hope to win that game.
