Regular Season Round 18: Cavaliers - Bulls 72-60

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Bulls (10-2) on the court of second ranked Bridgetown on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Bridgetown 72-60. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Bulls. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Bridgetown forced 31 Bulls turnovers and outrebounded them 55-40 including a 23-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for American power forward Granville Gittens (198, college: Baruch) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Darren Hunte contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Daniel Durant replied with 8 points and 7 rebounds and international guard Kelan Phillips (183-93) added 12 points in the effort for Bulls. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains second position with 9-3 record behind leader Bulls. Bulls at the other side still keep top place with two games lost.
