Regular Season Round 5: Brisas - Puente Alto 82-88

Bottom-ranked Brisas (0-4) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to second ranked Puente Alto (4-1) 88-82 on Friday evening. Puente Alto made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Guard Felix Ibarra (187-93) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for the winners and point guard Diego Valenzuela (185-94) chipped in 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Sascha Frings (202-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds and Emiliano Marquez (-96) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Puente Alto keeps a position of Centro leader. Loser Brisas still closes the standings with four games lost. Puente Alto will have a break next round. Brisas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Santiago to the arena Sergio Ceppi.
