Regular Season Round 17: Rockingham F. - Joondalup W. 77-68

Leading Wanneroo (17-4) recorded its fourth loss in Rockingham. Visitors were defeated by fifth ranked Flames (14-5) 77-68. Power forward Chudier Pal (205-91, college: UNC Asheville) stepped up and scored 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and guard Luke Travers (197-1) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Flames players scored in double figures. Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (198-91, college: Missouri, agency: Haylett Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized Greek guard Trian Iliadis (190-89, college: ODU) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Wanneroo's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Flames moved-up to fourth place in League. Wanneroo at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Flames will play against Redbacks (#10) in Northbridge in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Wanneroo will play at home against Tigers (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
