The most surprising game was the first loss of Campinas (16-1) in Vera Cruz on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked UNINASSAU (10-7) 64-60. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Campinas. The former international center Erika De Souza (197-82) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 19 rebounds for the winners and the former international forward Isabela Ramona Lyra (180-94) chipped in 15 points. The best for the losing side was swingman Ariadna Felipe (184-83) with 15 points and 9 rebounds and Argentinian point guard Melisa Gretter (166-93) scored 14 points and 5 assists. UNINASSAU moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sesi/Arara. and Blumenau. Campinas at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. UNINASSAU is looking forward to face Blumenau (#5) on the road in the next round. Campinas will have a break next round.
