Very significant was Niagara RL's (#1) 108-96 road victory against second-ranked Hamilton HB. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hamilton HB. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Niagara RL players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists. The winners were led by American guard Ryan Anderson (193, college: Nebraska) who scored that evening 25 points and forward Guillaume Boucard (198, college: Carleton) supported him with 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Anderson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Niagara RL's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 19 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists by Nigerian-Canadian guard Caleb Agada (193-94, college: Ottawa, agency: DMG Sports) did not help to save the game for Hamilton HB. American guard Demetrius Denzel-Dyson (196-95, college: Samford) added 20 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Niagara RL maintains first position with 8-3 record. Hamilton HB at the other side keeps the second place with four games lost. Niagara RL will play against Saskatchewan R. (#4) in Saskatoon in the next round. Hamilton HB will play on the road against Fraser Valley B. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
