The game in Changsha was also worth to mention about. One of their biggest challengers Henan (11-6) played at the court of fifth ranked Hunan (12-5). Hunan defeated Henan 114-98. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Henan. The game was mostly controlled by Hunan. Henan was better in third quarter 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Henan's 42. Henan was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American power forward Julian Gamble (208-89, college: Miami, FL) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). The other American import guard OJ Mayo (193-87, college: USC) contributed with 30 points and 9 assists for the winners. Four Hunan players scored in double figures. American Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 18 rebounds and power forward Junhu Lu (205-99) added 28 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Henan. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hunan have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Henan at the other side dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Hunan will play against Hefei (#8) in Nanjin in the next round. Henan will have a break next round.
