There was no surprise when 12th ranked Hebei X. (3-14) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Hefei (6-11) 122-108 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Hefei. Hebei X. managed to win fourth quarter 32-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 33-of-36 free shots (91.7 percent) during the game. Hefei outrebounded Hebei X. 55-36 including a 49-31 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Anthony Tucker (193-89, college: MSU Moorhead) had a triple-double by scoring 65 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Yuheng Tian (196-96) chipped in 18 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American Brandon Robinson (198-89, college: Clayton St.) with a double-double by scoring 50 points (!!!), 11 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and forward Mengchao Dong (202-94) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four Hebei X. players scored in double figures. Hebei X.'s coach rotated twelve players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hefei moved-up to eighth place. Hebei X. lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Hefei will meet at home higher ranked Hunan (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hebei X. will play against Anhui W. (#3) and hope to secure a win.
