Regular Season Round 8: Niagara RL - Edmonton S. 99-105

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Niagara RL (8-3) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Edmonton S. (6-4) 105-99. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Niagara RL. They outrebounded Niagara RL 42-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. Edmonton S. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian-Saint Lucian guard Adika Peter-McNeilly (190-93, college: Ryerson) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and American forward Travis Daniels (202-92, college: Mississippi St.) who added 20 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. American guard Dorian Pinson (196, college: Lincoln Memorial) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Ryan Anderson (193, college: Nebraska) scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Edmonton S. moved-up to third place. Niagara RL at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Edmonton S. are looking forward to face Guelph N. (#5) at home in the next round. Niagara RL will play against Saskatchewan R. (#4) in Saskatoon and is hoping to win this game.
