Regular Season Round 18: Dandenong R. - Kilsyth C. 95-84

There was an upset when higher ranked Kilsyth Cobras (9-6) were defeated on the road by eighth ranked Dandenong Rangers (8-8) 95-84 on Saturday. Point guard Lucas Barker (183-93, college: Indianapolis) had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Dexter Kernich-Drew (198-91, college: WSU) chipped in 21 points during the contest. Dandenong Rangers' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was forward Felix Von-Hofe (196-93, college: EWU) with 17 points and 5 rebounds and New Zealand power forward Tohi Smith-Milner (206-95, college: Polk State CC) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Dandenong Rangers and five Kilsyth Cobras players scored in double figures. Dandenong Rangers maintains eighth position in League with 8-8 record. Loser Kilsyth Cobras dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. Dandenong Rangers will face higher ranked Waverley Falcons (#7) in Mount Waverley in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kilsyth Cobras will play on the road against NW Tasmania Thunder in Ulverstone and hope to win that game.
