Everything went according to plan in Wendouree where first ranked Ballarat Miners (16-2) outleveled 3rd placed Geelong Supercats (12-7) 97-69 on Wednesday. Ballarat Miners looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Fijian forward Joshua Fox (198-94, college: UC Davis, agency: MKP Management) fired 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American forward Jerry Evans (203-90, college: Nevada) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized British forward Lewis Thomas (203-92, college: W.Oregon) produced 16 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Demarcus Gatlin (193, college: SHSU) added 17 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ballarat Miners maintains first place in League with 16-2 record. Loser Geelong Supercats dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Ballarat Miners will face Waverley Falcons (#9) in Mount Waverley in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
