An exciting game was played in Saskatoon. First ranked Niagara RL faced 4th placed Saskatchewan R.. Guests from Niagara (9-3) defeated host Saskatchewan R. (6-6) 97-89. Niagara RL looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Guard Trae Bell-Haynes (188-95, college: Vermont) stepped up and scored 21 points and 4 assists for the winners and Haitian-Canadian forward Yohanny Dalembert (196, college: JMU) chipped in 14 points and 12 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Tavrion Dawson (188, college: CSUN) with 23 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals and Nigerian forward Shane Osayande (198-93, college: Saskatchewan, agency: Promo Sport ID) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Niagara RL and five Saskatchewan R. players scored in double figures. Niagara RL maintains first place with 9-3 record. Saskatchewan R. lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with six games lost. Niagara RL will meet at home bottom-ranked Fraser Valley B. (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Saskatchewan R. will play against Hamilton HB and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
