There was a minor upset in Kalamunda where 6th ranked Senators (14-8) were defeated by eighth ranked Suns (11-11) 116-103 on Saturday. Suns looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Javion Blake (190, college: Washburn) fired a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. Guard Carl Aylett (181-97) chipped in 24 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Justin King (196-89, college: TRU) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward Cody Ellis (202-90, college: St.Louis) added 19 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Suns moved-up to seventh place in League. Loser Senators keep the sixth position with eight games lost. Suns will face higher ranked Flames (#3) in Rockingham in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
