Regular Season Round 7: Quilicura - Los Leones 103-55

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Quilicura. Second ranked Quilicura faced 4th placed Los Leones. Host Quilicura (3-2) smashed guests from Quilpue (1-4) 103-55. Quilicura dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Los Leones' 32. Quilicura forced 31 Los Leones turnovers and outrebounded them 51-34 including a 21-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Heder Louis fired a double-double by scoring 32 points and 27 rebounds for the winners. Ignacio Lopez (-97) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. Five Quilicura players scored in double figures. Guard Felipe Gonzalez (-98) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and Cristobal Caceres (-0) added 7 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Quilicura maintains second place in Centro with 3-2 record having just three points less than leader Puente Alto. Los Leones at the other side keep the fourth position with four games lost. Quilicura are looking forward to face Stadio Italiano (#3) in Santiago in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Los Leones will play at home against the league's leader U.Catolica and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
