Regular Season Round 19: SW Slammers - Joondalup W. 71-79

Not a big story in a game in Bunbury where 14th ranked Slammers (1-21) were defeated by first ranked Wanneroo (19-5) 79-71 on Saturday. American center Kevin Davis (206-91, college: Cent.Washington, agency: Promo Sport ID) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized Greek guard Trian Iliadis (190-89, college: ODU) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. Four Wanneroo players scored in double figures. Wanneroo's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Terrell Carter-II (208, college: Fresno St., agency: Haylett Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import guard Michael Lay (179-84, college: Concordia, OR) added 8 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Wanneroo maintains first place in League with 19-5 record. Loser Slammers keep the fourteenth position with 21 games lost. Wanneroo will face Buccaneers (#4) in Wonthella in the next round. Slammers will play at home against Hawks (#5) and hope to win that game.
