There was a surprise result in Northbridge where tenth ranked Redbacks (9-14) defeated 4th placed Buccaneers (15-6) 89-84 on Sunday. Redbacks looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Guard Marshall Nelson (188-94, college: Wayland Baptist) fired a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 13 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay, OH) chipped in 28 points and 9 rebounds. American power forward Liam Hunt (201-95, college: Hope International) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 17 rebounds and 5 blocks and the other American import guard Deangelo Isby (196-96, college: Utah St., agency: Haylett Sports) added 28 points respectively for lost side. Four Buccaneers players scored in double figures. Redbacks maintains tenth place in League with 9-14 record. Loser Buccaneers keep the fourth position with six games lost. Redbacks will face higher ranked Hawks (#5) in Floreat in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Buccaneers will play at home against the league's leader Wanneroo having rather not much hope for a victory.
