The game in Guelph was also quite interesting. Second ranked Edmonton S. (9-4) played at the court of 5th ranked Guelph N. (3-9). Edmonton S. did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 110-91 on Thursday. Edmonton S. outrebounded Guelph N. 45-34 including a 37-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Forward Grandy Glaze (201, college: GCU, agency: Interperformances) notched a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 rebounds to lead the effort and American forward Travis Daniels (202-92, college: Mississippi St.) supported him with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Edmonton S. players scored in double figures. Even 15 points and 8 rebounds by Nigerian-Canadian guard Olumuyiwa Famutimi (196, college: Arkansas) did not help to save the game for Guelph N.. American guard Marcus Lewis (193-92, college: EKU) added 14 points and 7 assists for lost side. Guelph N.'s coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Edmonton S. have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-4 record behind leader Niagara RL. Guelph N. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with nine games lost. Edmonton S. will meet at home Hamilton HB (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Guelph N. will play again against the league's second-placed Edmonton S. and hope to secure a win.
