Regular Season Round 20: Bendigo B. - Albury W.B. 82-93

There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Bandits (8-11) beat on the road 9th ranked Bendigo Braves (10-9) 93-82 on Friday. Bandits forced 23 Bendigo Braves turnovers. American power forward Torren Jones (206-94, college: William Penn) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds. The other American import guard Ken-Jah Bosley (185, college: Ky Wesleyan) contributed with 20 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four Bandits players scored in double figures. Naturalized South Sudanese swingman Mathiang Muo (196-87, college: Charleston So.) replied with 22 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and American forward Ray Turner (206-90, college: Texas A&M) added 14 points in the effort for Bendigo Braves. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bandits maintains eleventh position in League with 8-11 record. Loser Bendigo Braves keep the ninth place with nine games lost. Bandits will face Knox Raiders (#14) in Wantirna South in the next round.
