We should mention about the upset which took place in Montevideo, where 8th ranked Atletico Welcome (2-5) was outleveled at home by eleventh ranked Tabare (3-5) 103-75. Tabare outrebounded Atletico Welcome 45-29 including a 36-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Atletico Welcome's players. Point guard Santiago Pernas (180-99) notched 24 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and center Diego Tortajada (201-93) supported him with 16 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Even 17 points and 5 rebounds by guard Juan Garbarino (185-89) did not help to save the game for Atletico Welcome. American center Arlando Cook (203-95, college: Arkansas) added 15 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tabare have a solid three-game winning streak.
