There was an upset when higher ranked Flames (17-7) lost to seventh ranked Suns (13-11) in Rockingham 71-89 on Saturday. Strangely Flames outrebounded Suns 57-31 including a 26-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Javion Blake (190, college: Washburn) orchestrated the victory by scoring 31 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. The other American import swingman Joshua Braun (193-94, college: GCU) contributed with 22 points and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Greg Hire (201-87, college: Augusta) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 23 rebounds and power forward Chudier Pal (205-91, college: UNC Asheville) added 14 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Flames. Four Flames players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Suns maintains seventh position in League with 13-11 record. Loser Flames keep the third place with seven games lost. Suns will face league's second-placed Lightning in North Lake in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Flames will play on the road against Senators in Perth and hope to win that game.
