Very important is a road loss of third ranked Flames (17-8) against sixth ranked Senators (16-8) on Friday night. Visiting Flames were defeated by Senators in a tough game in Perth 85-94. It was a good game for naturalized South Sudanese guard Wani Swaka (196-1) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Cody Ellis (202-90, college: St.Louis) contributed with 15 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four Senators players scored in double figures. Forward Greg Hire (201-87, college: Augusta) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Caleb White (201-94, college: ECU) added 19 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Flames. Flames' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Senators maintains sixth place in League with 16-8 record. Flames at the other side dropped to the fourth position with eight games lost. Senators' next round opponent will be higher ranked Buccaneers (#3) in Wonthella and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Flames will play at home against the league's leader Lightning and hope to win that game.
