Very predictable result in Joondalup where first ranked Wanneroo (20-6) smashed 11th ranked Cougars (6-18) 108-73 on Friday. Wanneroo looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American swingman Ridell Camidge (192-96, college: Oklahoma City) stepped up and scored 31 points for the winners and Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (198-91, college: Missouri, agency: Haylett Sports) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was swingman Jakob Knight (194-97) with 11 points and 9 rebounds and guard Seva Chan (187-94) scored 11 points. Four Cougars players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Wanneroo went down to second position (League) due to points difference. Loser Cougars keep the eleventh place with 18 games lost. Wanneroo will face Suns (#7) in Kalamunda in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Cougars will play at home against Eagles (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
