The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Lightning as it allowed them to take a leadership position in League. Lightning edged 7th ranked Suns in North Lake 82-80. They outrebounded Suns 60-34 including a 24-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. Lightning looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Center Jarrad Prue (198-82) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 36 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and American guard John Isenbarger (188-91, college: Elon) chipped in 23 points and 9 assists. Four Lightning players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American swingman Joshua Braun (193-94, college: GCU) with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and the other American import guard Javion Blake (190, college: Washburn) scored 21 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Suns at the other side keep the seventh place with 12 games lost. Suns will play next round against strong Wanneroo trying to get back on the winning streak. Lightning will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Buccaneers in Wonthella.
