Regular Season Round 21: Hobart H. - Waverley F. 98-95

Date: July 19, 2019
There was a small surprise in Hobart where tenth ranked Huskies (10-10) edged 8th ranked Waverley Falcons (10-10) 98-95 on Friday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Huskies made 9 blocks. American guard Jalen Adams (196, college: Olivet) stepped up and scored 35 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (on 16-of-19 shooting from the field) for the winners and the former international point guard Tad Dufelmeier (183-96, college: Concordia Irvine) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Huskies' coach Anthony Stewart used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American guard Dylan Travis (190-93, college: Florida Southern) with 40 points (!!!) and the other American import forward Deondre McWhorter (203-93, college: Georgetown, KY) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Four Waverley Falcons players scored in double figures. Huskies moved-up to ninth place in League. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
