CEBL top team - Niagara RL (11-3) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked Fraser Valley B. (4-11) 80-71. Niagara RL looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Niagara RL made 10 blocks. The best player for the winners was forward Guillaume Boucard (198, college: Carleton) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Trae Bell-Haynes (188-95, college: Vermont) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. American swingman Jalen Kendrick (201-91, college: UNLV) produced 17 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Irish-Canadian power forward Levon Kendall (208-84, college: Pittsburgh) added 12 points and 14 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Niagara RL. They maintain first place with 11-3 record. Loser Fraser Valley B. stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Niagara RL will meet at home Guelph N. (#5) in the next round. Fraser Valley B. will play against Saskatchewan R. in Saskatoon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
