We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Park Holme where 10th ranked Eastern Mavericks (3-17) were defeated by eleventh ranked South Adelaide Panthers (3-17) 101-92 on Saturday. American forward Zach Allmon (203, college: Vanguard) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 17 rebounds for the winners and Brad Jonnek chipped in 28 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward Brandon Morris (203-94, college: Benedict) with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard Novian Cherry (193-92, college: CS San Marcos) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. South Adelaide Panthers moved-up to tenth place in League. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
