Regular Season Round 5: Paulistano - Minas 93-48

Undefeated leader Paulistano delivered the fifth consecutive victory. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Minas (0-4) 93-48 in Sao Paulo. Paulistano dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Minas' 28. Paulistano forced 25 Minas turnovers and outrebounded them 36-21 including 26 on the defensive glass. Center Dikembe Andre (206-99) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Roberto Da Rocha (-0) contributed with 13 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four Paulistano players scored in double figures. Forward Tiago Dias (201-1) answered with 15 points and Guilherme Carvalho (-2) added 8 points in the effort for Minas. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Paulistano (5-0) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 5 victories in a row.
