Regular Season Round 7: Minas - Franca 76-83

Bottom-ranked Minas (0-6) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to fourth ranked Franca (5-1) 83-76 on Tuesday evening. Franca dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Minas' 32. They outrebounded Minas 30-18 including 19 on the defensive glass. Franca looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for Marcio da-Costa (202-2) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Swingman Guilherme Marsaro (194-2) helped adding 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Franca players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Tiago Dias (201-1) responded with 19 points and 6 assists and Guilherme Carvalho (-2) scored 18 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Franca have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Minas at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost.
