Date: August 3, 2019
We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Broadmeadow where 10th ranked Bankstown Bruins (6-16) were crushed by eleventh ranked Newcastle Hunters (5-17) 95-67 on Saturday. Newcastle Hunters outrebounded Bankstown Bruins 48-20 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. His fellow American import power forward Lonnie Funderburke (203-88, college: Tennessee St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Newcastle Hunters' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest.
